RE Tech South will be in Atlanta GA on March 20th, 2008.  This event will be at the Cobb Galleria complex in Atlanta.   This conference is shaping up to be a great technology conference specifically for Real Estate Professionals. The speaker list is a group of Real Estate Technology Professionals that you will rarely if ever see again in one place!  Representatives from the following will be on speaking and sharing their knowledge: Trulia.com, ActiveRain.com (broker to broker knowledge site), TransparentRE.com, Wellcomemat.com (video for real estate), geekestateblog.com, and vidlistings.com (video for real estate) just to name a few.  Our on Century 21 Hecht Realty Internet Marketing Specialist, Chad Huck, has been involved in  the planning of this event as well.  This will be a great event for agents and brokers who are just starting to get their arms around Web 2.0 as well as Real Estate Pro’s who are “kind of a big deal” on the Internet and in Internet marketing. 

I think we are going to see a dramatic shift in the marketing of real estate and how agents market their services starting in 2009.  The shift has begun with open/transparent sites such as trulia and zillow.  We have even seen our local MLS loosen its strangle hold on information this year.  I think we are all, including the consumer, starting to realize that if you do not embrace technology in real estate you will be left behind in just a few years.  What an exciting time to be working in Real Estate!  I look forward to seeing you at RE Tech South.
