- Well friends, my child hood home burned tonight. I am presently out of town but the authorities notified my grandson so he took over for me. I ‘m sure it was difficult for him to watch the old home burning but he was my strong shoulder to rely on once again. He calmly kept in touch with me so I knew what was happening. I was quite upset but if I had been there witnessing the event I would probable be inconsolable. I will return home tomorrow and see what I have to do. The loss of things of my parents that was still in the house,not valuable to anyone but me, will be so very painful to acknowledge. I will sleep tonight and try build up the strength to deal with the heartbreak that I will be facing in days to come. The fire Marshall told my grand son it was a total loss and not safe to enter.
